Schools have made their choices and parents are trying to find fees and all the necessities to get their children to Form One. Opening week is this week and we are overwhelmed with requests.
This year requests are coming through the Local Transformation Units, who assess first and only forward a few to HQ. We are also considering a few special cases - special needs students, Mt Elgon clash victims and AIDS orphans. On Wednesday we had a list of 60, which has been shortlisted to 40. Today we have chosen 23, but have only managed money for about 15. If you can help us, even with half a child!!, please contact the UK Office www.icfem-mission.org You can donate on line there, or through my appeal on www.everyclick.com IcFEM Mission (Europe)
I read the list and want to cry at the needs.

Maize and Beans Project
We now have over 5000 small farmers from Local Transformation Units signed up for this project. Equity Bank is opening accounts for all of them to get a loan and then we shall need a lot of Farm Inputs, so we are negotiating bulk purchasing. No wonder we are BUSY!!!
