News of the maize project.

We are really wanting to say that all our local Transformation Unit farmers have received their fertiliser and seeds, but sadly this is not so.
It is raining here in Kimilili, but not all fertiliser and seed has been distributed. The work for Equity Bank of processing all the forms seems to be overwhelming! And we only have just over 4500! We are trusting God that the exercise will be finished by the end of this week.

Mrs Sarah Wepukhulu attended Kimilili FYM primary school. She has not let the polio she suffered from as a child stop her from great achievements. She has an engineering degree and is now a Senior member of staff with Kenya Power and Lighting Company.

A large crowd gathered for Disability Day

Hundreds of people gathered at Kimilili FYM Primary School for Kibingei Local Transformation Unit's day to celebrate the achievements of disabled people.

The preacher was Mr Benson Liru, Deputy Principal of one of the top Boys' High Schools in Bungoma. He zoomed up and down in his wheelchair as he challenged the people!

Disability Day - Saturday 14th March

Kibingei Local transformation Unit is hosting a very special day to highlight the achievements of disabled people in the whole of IcFEM's area of operation.

Special guests include Mrs Sarah Wepukhulu, IcFEM Board member and the team from Wheels for the World who are here to distribute wheelchairs next week.

DO and Chiefs from Kiminini came to IcFEM HQ

The District Officer and all his Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs came from Kiminini to Kimilili to learn about IcFEM's programme for the disabled. They came in particular to prepare for the Wheels for the World visit on March 16th to distribute Wheelchairs in their Division.

She came for help for her first-born child.

The baby has a hare lip. She is hoping that the Bethesda Pool programme can help her.

We are currently assessing the needs in a new place - Kiminini Division. The Wheels for the World team from UK arrives next week. The Distribution will start on 16th March. We are holding a local Disability Day on Saturday 14th March and trust for good publicity for the Bethesda Pool Project.
